Just upgraded to 18.0.1, noticing weird behavior using my @icloud.com email:

On my Macbook, mail is received and deleted. Goes into the trash.

On my iPad, that same mail now just appears as unread, but still in the inbox.

I have verified by logging into iCloud.com that the emails are deleted correctly, so it's definitely an iPad issue.

I've tried turning mail on/off in iCloud settings, reboot, etc. - no luck. Anyone see this before?

What I have seen is that e-mails on the iPad remain marked as unread if they have been opened but not deleted on the Mac or iPhone. I can open them on the iPad, and they stay put. E-mails that have been read and deleted on the Mac or iPhone still appear on the iPad as unread when Mail is refreshed (whether it was closed or left open when it went to sleep) but those deleted messages do not stay in the Inbox long enough to open and read them.

Yes!! This is driving me nuts! I check my mails in the morning on the phone and make sure, the inbox is clean and everything is read. Then I go to my mac and it shows 10 unread mails. I wonder and go check - and those unread messages are messages from within the trash. This is on a 3rd party mailserver! Sooooo annoying!

Email simply isn’t syncing across my devices. I have to frequently go into settings turn off iCloud for email and then turn it back on.
