Mail Apps how to collapse conversation in reading pane and look like stacked of papers

Hi, I have seen demo in Apple stores. When you have several emails and grouped by conversation, those conversations (the one located in preview area/reading pane) could be collapsed and look like a stack of conversation papers. I tried to do it at home, but haven't found a way to do so. Anyone knows?

Only way I know to get that effect, is by selecting multiple messages. Conversation groups show in a threaded format, not stacked like this.

As FE stated in his post, this is simply something that happens when you select multiple emails. It doesn't matter if they're conversations, threaded or not.
