Mail default accounts

Can anyone help me with this issue? In Mail I have two accounts, my main email account and my secondary email account. Under Settings > Apps > Mail, the main account is set as default.

However, even for emails sent to my main email address, when I reply it defaults to sending from the secondary email account. Mostly I think to change it but sometimes I forget which is awkward.

I presume this cannot be usual behaviour, is there any way I can fix it?

Depends on the service one is using, which means in some cases it's "hardcoded", but can check under:

Settings > Apps > Mail > Accounts > [account] > Account Settings > SMTP

Might be using same SMTP server vs using SMTP server specific to each account.
