There have been posts about this from myself and a few others since ios 18 was released. However the issue continues for me even now on the latest 18.2 beta release. Scrolling through the list of messages contained in the Trash box I see them going back to the last time I manually deleted them more than a month ago. My settings have always been for them to be removed after one week. I’ve even played around with this by changing that to one day with no change. It currently appears that this function isn't working at all no matter what time period is selected. Is this working for others?

Just to start the ball rolling: iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 18.1.1.
I go to Mail > Settings > Accounts > Select iCloud account > Mailbox Behaviors
Trash mailbox is: iCloud Deleted Messages and Erase Deleted Messages is set to [After one month]
When I navigate to that Box in the Mail Sidebar the oldest email in that box is indeed 30 days old.

So working for me.

My problem is with Indexing on the Mac. Just can't get it to work.
