mail draining my battery

between when i took it off the charger this morning and this evening when i got a low battery warning, the phone has reported constant usage, despite an on screen time that couldn't have been more than 2 hrs. finally got it to stop by killing mail from the app switcher.

i know "bugs happen" and on its own its not a huge deal, but cumulatively for me, the apple experience is starting to get more and more bogged down with these types of daily frustration.

I have also experienced similar results. 17-23% average over a week but I do tend to live in my work email during the business week.

I must be lucky. I manage a very heavy email volume from six accounts while traveling for business. My iPhone6+ does a very good job without undue strain on the battery. But I also carry an ANKER battery pack since by noon the iPhone battery is at 25%.
