Having a problem with adding a go daddy server - When I add the account, the SMTP server does not attach to the account. When I try to add it in the Edit SMTP Server List (Mail -> Preferences), all looks good, but when you go back to check, the server isn't listed. I've tried turning off "Automatically detect and maintain account settings" but it makes no difference.

What am I missing?

I have the same problem. I add an e-mail account (local provider) in my Macbook Air and it works perfectly but when this account is propagated to my Imac, the smtp server information doesn't propagate. I try to add the smtp server manually editing the smtp server list but doesn't work. I am able to add the smtp server and attach it to the account but when i save the configuration the server disappear from the smtp list.

Any ideas on how to solve this? I am using Beta 3 in both computers.

This problem is still happening in PB3 - what file are the SMTP servers stored in - wondering if I manually edit the file I can resolve the problem.

Same problem here. The key here is that the account is being synced through iCloud Keychain. Somehow, the SMTP server doesn't sync, and it adding it manually doesn't stick because it is being removed by the sync process. The only workaround I found is to disable iCloud Keychain.

I have already reported this bug in Public Beta 1, but have not received any feedback. I suggest filing a report through Feedback Assistant and citing it as a duplicate of Feedback #1060233.

Excellent - thanks for the feedback. I'll file the report.

FYI - turned off iCloud Keychain and the problem continued - in this case doesn't appear to be related
