Hi,

I have been without mail for an entire week. Why? Because it is "Upgrading"... I thought the updating stopped when my computer turned on after booting down to install new Catalina software.

Any tips on how to get access to my mail app again? Very frustrating and cumbersome to use iPhone or iCloud.com to send emails for work and school.

I have read lots of posts on missing data once update installed... However, I cannot even open app to check for lost data.

Thanks.

If you use an IMAP (or iCloud) account then you can remove it from system-prefs/internet-accounts and add it again. That should sort it out.

same stall at that same stage.

however, i of course waited only about 20 or 30 minutes. you have the patience of Job.
in my case, after the 20 or 30 minutes with no apparent progress i just shut it down and rebooted.
Mail came up ok. But, Mail does exhibit the problem of loosing mail that you move from one folder to another folder (and probably other problems as well).
Mail is usable but unstable since it cant be relied on 100%
in my case, i absolutely needed to begin to use it immediately. i had no choice but to try to do so.

Hi,

Does anyone have suggestions? Apple Support was no help.

Thanks.
