Mail freezing and dropping accounts

So as the title states, when I try and quit Mail it freezes for a while. I first noticed it when I tried to restart my rMBP and it wouldn't let me because Mail didn't want to quit. Anyone know a fix to this or am I just going to have to deal with it until Apple pushes a fix? Also, I have a Yahoo and Hotmail account added to Mail and they often disconnect and ask me for my password (the Mail icon jumps too). It only happens with those two, more so my Yahoo account. Is this also something I have to deal with for the time being or am I doing something wrong?

For Yahoo did you pay Yahoo for Yahoo! Mail Plus to get IMAP email from them or are you using the free Yahoo POP email settings?

Did you look into System Preferences->Mail, Contacts & Calendars and setup you email from there?

Never paid for Yahoo mail so it's POP. And yeah I setup my email from the Mail preferences.

Just look in the System Preferences->Mail, Contacts and Calendars pane and see if they show up there. In 1`0.8.x Apple uses that now to make new email accounts.

That's what I meant, that's where I originally added the Yahoo mail account but it still keeps disconnecting.
