Yesterday i updated my iPhone to iOS 13. Since then all of my iCloud emails have been going to the Junk folder across all devices. Including emails from known contacts and favorites. I would say that more than 90% of emails are now going to Junk that never did before. I did a quick search and found a couple others mentioning the same thing in the last 24 hours. Anyone else using iCloud mail having the same?

Same. After updating to iOS 13 yesterday, all of a sudden today most of my new .mac emails go to the Junk folder. The only mail that doesn’t go to Junk are those in my contacts list.

It’s very frustrating as I have to open mail, go into Junk, then move them to inbox.

The iOS app has no ability to change what is marked spam from your mail provider. If you move an email to spam on the phone your provider may "learn" that this email is spam.

But the phone app has no control over auto marking stuff as spam. This is some issue with your mail provider.

That’s the thing, almost all my mail is going to junk mail. Even after I’ve spent all afternoon unjunking the emails and moving them to my inbox, they continue to go straight to the junk folder.

I am not sure sure it will be fixed with iOS 13. I think it is the iCloud server itself pushing to Junk before it even makes it to the devices. It just so happened whatever change happened with their email server spam settings also coincided with iOS 13. Only seems to be affecting the ones using Apple email server users such as iCloud and mac emails.

Frustrating problem. It’s not the server, my iPad and Mac are still fine. The iPhone has turned evil with mail. Sadly lots of bugs in iOS 13. Only upgrade due to my new watch which required it.

Ok I hadn't had any issues on iOS13 with Mail until I happened to see this thread. And then I checked my email on Mojave and saw that I all of my emails were in Junk. I've been on iOS13 since July but only recently switched to using iCloud as my mail provider (about 2 weeks).

Must be something Server side that's causing the issue.

The last couple hours emails seem to be coming through, no new "junk" emails. Hopefully resolved on Apple's side.

Things have improved a bit now. Some though still filtering through to Junk. Hopefully be resolved totally soon.

same issue with iCloud. I am on 13.1, another phone on 13 has the issue as well. My wife did not upgrade is on 12.4 and has the same issue iCloud only.

Has it improved for you northernman and ken these last couple of hours? I’m getting fewer dripping into junk since 2pm ish

3 days in and still a few emails are dropping into the Junk. So frustrating! Also, the obes that don’t go to junk, when I open the mail app, it takes a few seconds for the new mail to show. Is anyone else having this issue too?

Something is still not quite right. While my incoming messages are arriving in my Inbox (and not in Junk) after I open them there is still a "downloading messages" statement on the bottom left of my screen. This only disappears after I fully quit Mail.

That may be similar to my issue above. Mail only begins to download messages after you’ve opened the app. In your case, it seems you also have to close and reopen the app for you to get your emails.

I have same problem.....

Right, I think things have sorted themselves out. That doesn't mean that I don't now continue to constantly check my Junk folder.
