Hello,

I was spammed for a few days, with a lot of mail. However, after recovering from it, and deleting all of the spam messages, I've found that all of my mail predating the event seems to have gone.

Where has it gone, and how do I get it back?

Thanks,

I could, but it wouldny sync back up to iCloud?

No, when you recover deleted emails through time machine, it puts them in a new folder called Time Machine > Recovered Messages.

You need to click the Time Machine button on your toolbar with Mail as your active application, then the mail window will move backwards into the Time Machine interface. Looks like Time Machine has saved your bacon, as normally most people say they don't have it running.

When you delete mail from the MAC Mail App it is placed into the Trash Folder and then you need to DELETE it from there. Did you do that?
