Mail in 10.3 (or even 10.2)

I think the MOST frustrating thing in OSX is Mail always insisting on putting your signature at the end of emails instead of where the cursor is.
Can any Beta 10.3 testers say if this has changed?
Or am I missing something in 10.2 that lets you change this?
 
I think that in any mail prog. it puts your signature at the end, since thats the general system for how signatures are applied to email messages.
 
Hey, just checked on Panther Mail, and it will only do it at the end. I checked the Help file, and it specifically said for placement at the end of your emails. I do have an earlier build, so maybe they've fixed it, but anyhow, sorry. Write to Apple. Maybe they'll include something in the GM that lets you do it.

They are not letters, they are emails. It isn't the same thing. I get an email and then I reply, so my reply goes in front of the mail the person has sent me. I then want my signature to go at the end of what I have written, NOT after their (edited) quote which I want stuck on at the end for them to have availablr if they need reminding about what they mailed to me.

Have you got an email address for someone at Apple who might actually respond to this!!
 
i thought that the purpose of a beta was to test new features and work out bugs but not to add new features....they dont' fix things that aren't problems.....and the fact that the signature goes where they say it will go does not cause a problem....

It causes me a problem. When I used to beta test products we were also encouraged to suggest any improvements. Being able to choose where your signature goes would be an improvement.

I didn't realise so many subscribers to this site were so aggressive and feebly sarcastic. You're acting like Windows users. Or are you just jealous because I'm getting a dual G5 and Cinema display?
 
what have you used?

What are the email programs that you have used that allow you to do this? This is actually the first I have ever heard of being able to put your sig somewhere other than at the end of the email.

I think I could put my signature where I liked in Entourage or rather you had the option of it quoting the original post at the end of the email whereas in Mail you end up with the quote on the middle if you reply at the beginning and your sig goes at the end.

I know I didn't have to keep cut and paste my sig. like I do now.
