Mail loses content when moving to folders

Running Catalina 10.15.2
Mac Mini 2018
Apple Mail program

Noticed about a month ago that messages transferred to the trash were losing their content. No big deal - it is trash. But one day I transferred a message to the trash by mistake - and when I retrieved it, it was blank.

I looked in other folders (not the trash) and discovered that messages I had moved were blank.

For example, airline reservations I had moved to the 'Trips' folder, had lost all content - dates, airline reservation number - everything.

Disaster!!!!

So what are people working at Apple HQ using for mail???

i had this issue, 10.15.3 seems to fix it (hopefully out of beta this week)... all else in apple mail here has been fine.

I'm still using Mojave, because Catalina reproducibly deletes about 4/5 of my locally saved e-mail archive. According to the latest comments on that blog, 10.5.3 does not fix the problem. Most people don't realize they're losing old or moved messages, so Apple does not seem to get many bug reports. If you have not yet contacted Apple, you should absolutely do that, so that they finally prioritize this bug.

Why why did I not do a search first. Like I always do.I have spent more time with the service provider and apple support. the "upgrade" to 15.2 deleted interfaces with the provider and lost all the archive mail.

Apple support was bad in the first two reps and efforts to reboot using Time machine. Finally the last Rep finally sent me to Tier 2 senior adviser.

The Tier 2 tried but ended up after an hour that engineering to be involved. Screen shots and zip programs were done and forwarded to engineering.

On top of all this, the provider couldn't cleanly change anything since the password were played with by the Apple tier -1 levels.

According to the very latest comment (from today) in the blog posting I linked to above, the problem is finally fixed in beta 2 of 10.15.3. So fisherking had the correct info, after all.
