In Apple's Mail, I am unable to select (and therefore change) the Message List Font. It is stuck at System Font Regular 12. It is grayed-out.

The other two fonts are selectable/changeable.

Any help/instructions?
[doublepost=1485866071][/doublepost]It seems that it is unchangeable.

Changing fonts for List is only available if you select Classic view. In Mail > Preferences > Viewing select the "Use classic layout". Now go to Fonts and you will be able to select font. Only works when you are in classic view.

This has not worked for me. I recently set up Mail Mail on a new computer. I was able to change the Message list font once, but when I tried to change it a second time, it would not pick up any of the fonts I clicked on. I tried toggling back to Non-classic view, restarting MacMail, selecting Classic view, etc. but no luck. Any ideas to try?

I am using Classic View and it still does not work.

I agree. I still cannot change it. I have tried Classic View and everything. I just got my computer, I changed the Message font once, too, and after that could not change the settings again.

If you switch out of Classic, the font settings will not work in preview pane on right view.

Try testing in a new User to see if you can change fonts.
