Hi all,

I'm trying to do some detective work on email. Issue: I'm not sure all clients are receiving my reply when they submit an inquiry form on my Squarespace site. I respond to their inquiry using Mac mail on my laptop, via gmail (gsuite custom domain email). It's not unusual that some clients won't respond to my reply, but I recently had a client submit an inquiry to me a second time, and when I called them they said they did not receive my reply to my first inquiry.

I BCC my personal email on all replies to clients, and always receive the BCC reply. However, on desktop Mac mail, sometimes the message will not indicate "bcc" to me even though I did bcc the message and received it on my personal account. (it will indicate "bcc" in gmail & iPhone mail). Is this a bug? Are there other ways to tell by looking at the message header data if it was correctly sent? I'm curious if the mail is being sent only to me (my bcc account) but not the client I am replying to.

Which macOS version are you using?

If you're looking at the received BCC message and it's addressed to the client then I'd think it was correctly sent.

I don't know why it wouldn't show the BCC on an intermittent basis. Does sound like a bug.
