Mail not sending email

Hi,

So I had set my hotmail up so that everything was sent to mail, this still works but I can no longer send emails. How can I reset the whole mail as opposed to a fix.

Check what the Mail server tells Mail by going to Mail's menu item 'window' and select in the drop-down 'Connection Doctor'. When that open Click button for 'Show Detail' and then check again. This then will show you what the email server is saying.

By the way, can you get email or get the email trough the ISP web email page?

deleted account and started from scratch. I think it is something to do with BT infinity after googling
