Guys, I've just realised that my icloud Mail is not syncing across my iPhone and iPad. If I delete an email on my iPhone it doesn't get deleted on my iPad. I've checked the login details and they're correct. I've signed out and back into icloud and this hasn't resolved the issue.

Is anyone else getting this?

Is this within the last day? If so, it could be related to an iCloud verification login server problem that is currently affecting many Apple people.
Hi mate. Thanks I haven't checked for a few days until today, so it could well be this. I'll keep my eye on it to see if it's resolved.

The servers are back up and running and the system status page says no issues anywhere, BUT my Mail is still not syncing. ive gone into iCloud and turned off and back on my mail, but still no luck. Is there anything I need to do to sync again?

EDIT: just realised that if I delete emails on the iPad they also delete on my phone. So it's just if I delete on phone that they also don't delete on iPad. Strange!

FWIW - You have probably already checked this - but just in case you have not - It might be worth checking the "Settings" for the email account on the phone in "Advanced" you can check the "deleted messages" settings and make sure the deleted messages are "on the server" (not local) and that deleted messages are moved the "Deleted Mailbox"

Just checked and all is as you recommended.

A sneaky feeling server still not fixed.

Too bad - it would have been a quick fix - I was thinking (hoping) that it was sounding more like an email server / IMAP configuration than an iCloud issue

Maybe it will fix itself now that the iCloud service is back up 🙏

and maybe someone else on these forums might have some additional info

This is really frustrating. I've just been on my Mac for the first time in a week, and Mail on here is also not syncing.

And it seems I'm the only one on here who's having issues with iCloud Mail. Others are having issues with Safari Tabs.

Guys sorry to ask this, but has there been any update news on this issue at all?

I know the Tabs issue is still there even though Apple Issues site shoes there are no issues.

Sorry but no update. iCloud mail still has issues. Hoping the next beta brings some fixes.
Thanks mate. But I doubt the next beta will resolve the issue as it seems to be a server issue.

Deleted mail had returned on my iPhone, Mac and iPad. I painstakingly deleted those emails from my phone but didn't have the patiencene nor time to do it on the iPad and Mac. Deleted mail no longer seems to be returning now.

However, when deleting on one device, the mail continues to remain on the other 2 devices.

Panic stations! I've just realised ALL my emails from pre 13 December 2020 have gone missing! This isn't good. Is anyone else seeing this on their devices?

And the problems continue. Even though I have mail notifications turned on, I'm now not getting any pop ups or banners. The audio notification though does come through.

I've rebooted the phone but still no luck!

Right, I have somehow got all my old emails back. But I've also got back every single email I've previously deleted going back to 2013 😩

And I now I no longer get email notifications on my lock screen or banners or audible notifications.

Heck this ain't good Apple!

This is not good.

So this means that even though you delete your emails, Apple keeps them anyway forever? 😱

I think I might have resolved this.

I signed out of icloud on my iPhone and signed back in. This seems to have got the emails syncing again between devices.
