Mail notification sound

I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max running 18.3.1 I noticed I get no notification sound when I receive an e-mail. In sound settings I put "ding" sound, and the badges work because it shows new mail\unread message, just no sound.

Be sure to check all the preferences in Settings>Apps>Mail>Notifications.

I have that same issue when my iPhone is near my MacBook which has sound turned off. It is almost as if priority is to the MacBook and since it's sound is off - i get no sound. Have checked all and this has happened for a while

Be sure to check all the preferences in Settings>Apps>Mail>Notifications.

Thanks for this, when I went into customize notifications I was able to find the setting.
