iOS 14.2 (18B92): If mail is deleted from a device other than iPhone, the notification for that mail remains on the notification centre of the iPhone even after iPhone Mail app has synced with email server.

That shouldn't happen if your mail account is IMAP. It will happen if you're using POP3 for your account.

If you are using IMAP, try signing out of iCloud on your devices and then sign back in to get the sync working again.

I am having this problem on all IMAP accounts- gmail, yahoo, other IMAP.
I have deleted accounts on all iOS and iPadOS devices and installed accounts as new.
Yet the problem remains. Sometimes the issue occurs and the mail notification persists on the notification centre while at other times, the mail notification goes away from the notification centre.

I’m having this problem but on the same device.
Receive an email and get notification on my iPhone. Go to the mail app without interacting with the notification. Read the email and/or delete it. Notification stays in Notification Center.

Yep I always do. I really hope those aren’t a waste of time. It’s a tad worrisome when the current iOS isn’t an option to select but I’m hoping they get the point.
