I believe I saw complaints on the inbox on the left hand side and the email preview on the right, and not being able to hide the inbox. This may be posted elsewhere, but if you swipe the bottom of the screen from left to right, the inbox hides. To get it back you have to tap the inbox button.

Appears to work in portrait mode only.

Doesn't require a swipe at all. Simply touching the message preview will hide the inbox.
