So I have a hate-hate relationship with the way notifications have been handling email in the last few iOS versions. I think it was iOS 10 (maybe 9) that really screwed things up. When I get a mail notification (on the lock screen or in the notification center), the emails now (when preview is on) show too much. Like literally half the screen or more for 1 email. If I turn off previews, all I see is who sent the email. It used to be that you could get several emails on the screen at the same time, maybe just sender and subject. I'm pretty sure there's no way to bring that back but thought it might be worth it to ask the group.

What phone do you have?

On my 7, email previews on the lock screen or Notification Center never take up more than one fourth of the screen if I have preview turned on.

However, if I force touch on one of the emails, it expands to half the screen, just like iMessage notifications.
