Mail problem Please Help

So I just got an iPhone and I synced my mail accounts to the phone. One of them is my college email that uses POP. It works fine through mail on my mac but won't connect on the iPhone. My school uses their mail through gmail's POP service. Why would it work on my mac but not on the iphone?

Also, What are peoples experiences with Yahoo Push mail?

Yahoo Push works good most of the time but sometimes it is intermitant. A lot of Posts are on this subject. You could do a search.

What I do is have my other mail accounts send a copy to Yahoo Push Account which I use just for the iPhone. That way I can use the Yahoo Web Email to do mass deletes if necessary. iPhone requires you to delete 1 mail message at a time.
