People in the office have switched to using outlook for mail. i stayed on mac mail, but any email coming from outlook doesn't fold the quoted forwarded or replied emails making it very hard to read or scroll through a conversation. I tried getting people to not quote replies, but training people to change their ways is too hard.

am i missing something? if i check email in outlook it is all folded neatly and i can find the main bodies of the messages easily. in Mac Mail, it is all epanded and each new email is longer than the one before. in a long string of emails that means dozens of signatures, images, pdfs repeated over and over.

is this done on purpose? does apple refuse to recognize the outlook quote format? do i just have to abandon mac mail and switch to outlook?

Sounds like you should!

Not sure if it's a refusal or if the special coding is proprietary.

:(

i was hoping i overlooked some setting and there was some easy fix. i really don't want to use outlook, but oh well.
