Is anyone using SL Server's mail server for a small business? I am considering getting a Mac Mini Server to use for web and mail services. I am curious to know how others are liking it. Thanks.

How many users do you anticipate having?
Will you be using the web server to host internal site, or external facing sites as well?
Do you need shared contacts / calendars?
For most scenarios it just makes more sense to host mail externally. You don't have to worry about your services going down if your office loses power, has a problem with the Internet connection, or a problem with the mini crops up.

About 5 email users. So its a small number. If the power goes out, our office is also out of luck until the power comes back on.
I plan on hosting some low traffic web sites in a Linux VM with Fusion. I ordered 8GB of RAM from OWC to handle the demand of VM's.
Still have to say that hosting off-site makes much, much more sense in your case. $10-$20/mo versus $1,000 for the Mac mini Server, plus the extra RAM, a good UPS to ride you through any power outages, &c. &c.? Just to serve email for five users and do some light web hosting?
Are you at least planning on using the Mac mini Server for file sharing, calendar sharing, Time Machine Server, or any of the other Mac OS X Server services?
Yes, I plan on using other features of SL server. The Mini server is replacing a Dell Poweredge running Xen with 4 VM's. I am looking to have a smaller foot print in my office. Someone in another post suggested I look into ESXi on the Mini.
We are using it for a client. 5 end users connected to the old mac mini server (2 500 GB HDs) and 4 GBs of RAM.
Other than the damn DNS setup it was a breeze to configure and get going. The mini never goes over 10% cpu usage - and they have about 100 GBs of data.
Its a great and powerful little device.
