Is there a way to sort mail alphabetically?

Yes, simply click on the title bar where it says 'Subject'. Currently it's probably sorted by 'Date Received', which would be highlighted in blue with a triangle indicating whether it's sorted ascending or descending. To change sorting ascending or descending simply click the title bar (once it's selected) again.

I have a 3G iPhone and there is no subject line to click on.

I am unware of anyway to sort e-mail messages on the iPhone. I'd be interested in being able to do so if I could, but it isn't a big deal for me.

Among the many things you cannot do with mail on an iPhone are such diverse elements as: sorting mail, threading mail, searching mail, filtering mail, marking all mail as read, marking all mail as unread, marking mail as junk, and oh, there is also no cut and paste.



Sorry. You know you still love it. It's Apple. It's like crack. It's bad for you but you can't get enough of it.
