I’ve had a draft email stuck in my drafts for a few months. It doesn’t show on any of the web versions of the accounts I have, but shows in iOS, at the bottom of my screen, despite me opening it and removing it.

I’ve tried resetting, hard resetting, removing all my mail accounts and re-adding.

Had anyone else had this? Anyone got a fix? I’ve run out of ideas, short of doing a fresh install of iOS........

if it bothers you enough, you can always sign out of your email account on your phone and all locally stored files (and fake drafts) will be deleted off your phone (but not the server).

Then when you set up your email again- everything on the server should be mirrored back on your phone again.

Try logging into your email service from a browser on your computer and see if that fake draft exists there too

If you read my post, you’d see I’d done both of those things.

I didn't-
Can you edit it and try to send it to yourself again? Maybe that could clear it.

You could try downloading the email app Spark and see if it resides in that app.
If not, there's something messed up w the iOS Mail app

Tried the first thing already.

I’ve not tried spark, but since I’ve checked the web versions of my 3 email accounts and also the iOS app versions, it seems to be iOS native Mail app that’s causing it.

It’s not happening on my iPad, only iPhone. So frustrating, but really don’t want to do a fresh install.

Saying that, I think I did a fresh install since that draft originated.

This happens to me now and then. IIRC, go the iOS mail app and get to the list of mail accounts and their individual folders. You will see an outbox that has the unsent emails. You can delete those when in that folder within the iOS nail app.

Nope. There was none of that.

Anyway, I wiped and restored from a backup and that’s sorted it.
