is there any way to get Mail 2.0 to play nice with a hotmail account? i've already tried httpmail, but it only supports the hotmail versions that you pay for; i have a free account. thankx

Free hotmail or yahoo accounts don't allow external access. That's it. No way around it. Get a gmail account if you want to use mail.

Microsoft appears to be turning off the access that allows httpmail to work slowly... it works for me, and I have free hotmail, but I have heard others say what you are saying. But are you sure you have the latest httpmail?

I use httpmail and I don't have a free account. Httpmail works for me but it can be slow at times retrieving mail . I have had the email address forever though, if that matters?...
