Mailbox with iCloud

I like the Mailbox app by Dropbox. I would like to use it my iCloud email. It won't let me. See the attached.

It's obviously an authentication error so let me assure you firstly that it is the correct password and email. Seriously. I have tried this many times before and it has literally never worked. Either Dropbox and iCloud users with it working are lying or there is something fundamentally wrong with my account.

I have; many, many times. I even spoke with the Dropbox support team and nothing.

You're adding the @icloud.com part, yes?

I have tried the @icloud.com domain and my Apple ID email.

Aha. It appears that when I initially signed up to iCloud, I registered one @icloud.com address. Since then, I added another alias which I assumed was the primary address; it wasn't. I swapped to this ancient address and lo and behold, it bloody worked. It was me all along.
