My MacBook Pro 17" (4 days old) does not see the mains adaptor plugged in on the task bar, I noticed this when I decided to run the Performance Information and Tools feature in Vista, it stated the task could not be run due to being on battery power, this is going to be a nightmare if you have got to remember to unplug and replug the adapter everytime you boot up, all updates available (I think) have been applied to both MAC OSX and Vista, any ideas or help most appreaciated.

It must be a Boot Camp issue as the adaptor works fine in MAC OSX, in additon it's fine in Vista using Virtual PC2007 with XP Pro.....

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions - It's driving me crazy :-/

Is It Really Boot Camp 1.3 Then

It's a Boot Camp issue.

:) Thanks for the reply, is it definately a Boot Camp issue only I was going to ask Apple if my product is faulty and ask for a replacment.

Funny I have not seen anybody else with this issue.

Thanks

seems to happen on all of them. if you unplug and replug power it goes to what it should be. The fix will probably be in lepoard when they take bootcamp out of beta. Its really not a big deal. Also, it charges while it thinks its on battery.

I don't get the error messages that you're talking about, but my copy of Windows Vista Business on Boot Camp 1.4, using a 2.2 GHz SR MBP does occasionally "forget" that it's plugged in, and simply stays at 100% battery charge. It's a little annoying when the screen constantly turns itself off every five minutes, but just touching the magsafe plug so the power is interrupted for a fraction of a second makes windows get its act together.
