It's because soon all the iPads will have FaceID... It's deliberate, not a bug. Even if it was, it hardly counts as 'major'
It's priority level is perhaps debatable but right now I'm gonna rollback to iOS 11 while I still can as I find it very off putting.
[doublepost=1537236864][/doublepost]If you are in the App Store and click an app developers website then the clock is indented to the RIGHT to allow the back to App Store legend to appear.

This is a terrible change with a use case which totally fails user interface testing. Steve would never have allowed this stupid change.

Ios11 sucked, I would never go back regardless. I never realized how bad it was until I updated this morning..
The performance/smoothness difference is night and day.. You should change the title of your thread as it isn’t a bug, it’s your opinion.

Wow, because of where the time is on the screen?? I guess you won't be using any device with FaceID because the time is off-center? Also, isn't the time off-center on pretty much every computer?

I might prefer the clock in the upper-right corner for consistency with MacOS, but this would leave an asymmetrical empty space on the left side of the status bar so I can see why they put it there instead.

Nice that it makes use of the extra space on the iPad by displaying the date, instead of just the time like before.

They did this to even out the inconsistency between iPhone, iPad, and macs.

iPhone 8 and below: clock middle, WiFi indicator left
iPhone X and higher: clock left, WiFi indicator right
iPad: clock left, WiFi indicator right
Mac: clock right, WiFi indicator right

This way it prevents your eyes from instinctively looking at the same place and forces you to scan around preventing eye strain </sarcasm>

I would never use face ID. I'll stick to pass codes. Computers? The clock is centered on the console of my car. Just as relevant.

we've been adapting for millions of years as humans but dogslobber can't adapt to the positioning of a clock folks.
Maybe by iOS 1m Apple will finally restore it front and center.

Windows 95 and onwards, time is bottom right.
OSX, time is upper right.

Don’t see the problem.
