How is it possible that Apple didn't allow a user the ability to remove themselves from group chats?! Every single IM platform (mobile, web or desktop) in the world has this ability.
Last night a bunch of my friends were watching the Monday Night Football game and I one of them started an iMessage group to chat about the game. Well one of my friends wanted to go to sleep (game was on until 12:30am EST) and was unable to remove himself from the group so that his phone didn't vibrate every 5 seconds.
The ONLY way to get out of it is to turn off iMessage completely or to have everyone in the group create a new group altogether. Even the group creator is unable to remove a member from the chat. This is a major oversight on Apple's part and something that needs to be addressed asap.
