I like my air but the battery may cause me to return it and keep my trusty MB. The first night i got it i let it charge for 12 hours and it only got to 98%. Last night i let it run down to 0 and it shut down and i let it charge all night. 8 hours later I turned it on and it was at 90%. I think i may return this thing. I know some people are not having batt probs but because some are and the battery cannot be removed wo surgery makes me nervous.

Replacing the battery is not that hard. I'd give it a couple more charges and then bring it in if its not better.

But can they swap it at the store or will the store have to send it off to a reapar center?

The store can swap it out. However, I don't know if they will do that if they are not sure if it is a battery problem or a system controller issue. I am having the same problem where it takes 8 hours to charge.
