Major speed increases in some Apple Services

Noticing HUGE speed increases in Find My Friends and iMessages. Friends are located instantly, no longer searching for 3-10 seconds. For iMessages, especially when tapping top of screen to go back and load older messages in the thread. Speed increases in both apps are on the order of 10-20x. Seems like Apple did a major update to some backend processes. Not sure if this is iOS 10 specific or related to its rumored CDN.

Running iOS 10 on iPhone 7. Noticing improvements over wifi and LTE.

oh wow I am noticing the same! Incredible
 
Wow. If they did something back end, they did it this afternoon. Was using it earlier and nothing like that speed. I'm on 6.
 
I was extremely skeptical of this claim in the op I must say but I just tried the scrolling up in iMessage thing and it is leagues better than it was. I hope it stays this way consistently.

Tried it on the Mac, spun my Logitech mouse wheel upwards fast to stress test this. Brief pause between each page load but scrolled up weeks in a reasonably active conversation in just seconds. Big, big change.
