The active tab in Safari is just a little lighter shade of gray compared to the unopened. Any way to make the active tab more obvious in color?

On a related note, is it possible to make the tabs appear on top similar to Chrome? I looked around but there didn't seem to be a way to do this.

I believe it's the same shade of gray as active Finder tabs. Xcode tabs are way worse than that; active vs background tabs are hardly distinguishable on quick glance.
