Sweet! Thanks for the link. It displays fine on my stupid windows laptop also. Any idea on how big the drive is, and if it is somehow write protected?

I get it! They don't want people who use macs to be able to make M$ poor.;) Really though, i think that it is a windows only page. That's M$ for you!

Ok, I e-mailed the link to myself and got through it all but get a Invalid E-Mail at the end when I place my order.

I also wonder if it is write protected. But will it work on my MCB when I get that? I hope so, otherwise I just filled a 2 minute form out for nothing. Oh well c'est la vie.

I ordered one using Mac IE. If you still have a copy of that around, that's one way to get the toy.

iMeowbot is correct. IE on the Mac loads the page just fine. Also... my flash drive is on the way. :D

Microsoft had to be good for something! ;)

MS at its best

Here is MS for you: I just spent a lot of time to register for .NET stuff, then filled out address info etc, but when I hit "submit" here is the error message in red font:

*Required

That's it... Are they charging MS based on word count? I guess it is trying to communicate that I have not filled in one of the required fields. Hmm, great, except I have filled in every starred entry and checked it maybe five times already, but it keeps giving me the same error message. Gosh, I just remembered why I switched... Maybe it just does not like the fact that I am using FireFox on a PC.

Since it would be cheaper to distribute the same data on a CD-ROM, I'd severely doubt that they'd make it virtually worthless by write-protecting.

IBM did the same thing a while back. It was fixed by some kind of pencil mod.

It works fine in safari 1.3.2 for me. but i'm satisfied with my current flash drive, so no time wasting for me.

Well I filled it out in Mac IE and it says to allow 6-8 weeks for delivery. It's probably only 16 MB or something. Still fun to get something free.
