iPod Make Music Start/Pause based on USB Connection?

Hello! I have a couple of iPods laying around (like iPod Nano 1G/2G/3G) and I have a car USB connection (that acts as a charger as well) that plays the music while it's connected to the iPod. The iPod still manages the music during playback, so I was wondering if there was a way where I can make it so that when the car turns on (and the USB connection happens) that the music can start playing automatically, and when I turn my car off (and the power adapter/USB connection ends) the music will pause?
