I did it when I had a PC. I had a Mac too, but occasionally
needed the PC for some things. I hated going to XP after
OS X, so I made XP at least LOOK like OS X.

I finally did get rid of my windows box and got a macbook pro.

I just love stories with a happy ending. :)

I did the same thing back in the day and made my pc look like a mac.
Didn't get a real mac at the time cause they were (and still are) hella
expensive. But patience paid off, finally saved up enough and got a
powerbook....my precious...sweet powerboooook. :D

And she kept calling it "OS Ex"!

Plus, there are just some things that will never look like a Mac... (I know, I know, I've used this example before)

She may have kept saying "O" "S" "ex" (instead of 10), but she's a cutie anyway.

I did the same thing. I used windowblinds to skin programs with the brushed metal look. then I used Y'z dock for the dock. Thats as far as I took it, but it still made me switch!

I guess it's a good idea to get the general feel of OSX, but I don't think I would ever use it if I went back to a PC.

When I was a Windows-only user, I used to always apply that OS X "Aqua" theme. I really liked the look of it, especially when compared to XP's default "fisher price" theme.

But now I use a Mac all the time, so it's all good. :)

Yeah I did that to. Made my Ollld windows box look like OS X... convinced a few people.... but not many.. But it just helped out a little bit. Stupid box was to slow to run all of the skins and things though so i was limited...

Than i Got my MBP... ahh a wonder :)

I used to do it too:

It actually doesn't look half bad. I miss Rainlendar, for sure.

Has anyone seen the cnet’s guide to make MS Windows look like OS X?
It’s so freaky! People are going all out of their way just to pretend they’ve got a mac.
Why don’t they just make the plunge and get a REAL mac?

Anyway, check it out and lets see what you all think?

Its soooo weird.

maybe because people dont want to invest in ridiculously priced towers to get the mac os x expirence?

pc users arent into the whole "all in one machine" when it comes to powerfull machines.

Hahahah! It looks like an exhausted hunched over little robot. Kind of cute, but not at all attractive like a Mac.

That is hilarious. I can't believe Dell would produce something that hideous.
