Nice fetch; Is it Amazon or the company actually sell via Amazon ? Maybe you could drop amazon an email indicating that.

Misleading it is; but a customer should read before they press "buy", they should not leave their brain at the login screen.

And looks like some customer just do it right:

I don't get the outrage. Yes, a company called playanywhere is selling an old Mac mini for £899 on Amazon.

However, it's not advertised as anything but an old Mac mini. The reviews are from 2006.

Yes, they're stupid for selling an old mac for £899, but they're hardly misleading anyone.

+1

If someone buys this expecting it to be a new Mac Mini without reading they deserve to own it.

Sold by shady third party seller that didn't remove the posting.

I like it when consumer goods are 'you get what you pay for'. I feel that sellers have a moral obligation to at least partially obey that rule when setting their pricing. This item is overpriced by 2 or 3 times if you consider similarly specced products. Bad day I guess, this got to me

In my experience of many buys & sells, Amazon are a great company to do business with. One of the best!

As regards the ridiculous £899 price for an old GMA950 Mini, the only culprit here is a company called "playanywhere", even though I presume it's a genuine oversight. However, it's nothing to do with Amazon who have no control over their marketplace sellers pricing. :)

Amazon US raised their price on the new Mini server anyway, Amazon is no longer the cheapest online.

I assume 899 pounds is a lot . . . but even so, if this is a brand new item in the box, perhaps the seller legitimately thinks it is worth that as a collector's item or something. I can't imagine there are a whole lot of "brand new" ones left anymore.

If a reseller is being stupid, then just ignore them. If you feel really passionate about it, then contact the seller and tell them how out-of-whack their pricing is.

Anyone dropping that much on a computer should do enough research to know that computer sucks these days
