I'm trying to get familiar using Cocoa and trying to do this: http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/buildcocoa/chapter/ch05.html

It's a basic "Calculator" program... but I'm having troubles with one thing and am wondering if maybe it has to do with something new in Xcode 3.0/Interface Builder 3.1

It says to insert a NSButton and then to hold the "Option" key while dragging the corner up and to the right. This is supposed to create a matrices, but its not. It just makes the button bigger, at least for me. Has anybody else who's downloaded the SDK kit have this problem or is familiar with why it doesn't work? Thanks a lot-

For me it just creates copies of the button, I'm pretty sure it did that on Tiger too...

Maybe you'd be better off doing this programatically...

I just figured it out! All you have to do is select the button then go to Layout> Embed Objects In>Matrix

OMG haha! There are like 5 billion sites that say alt-drag to make a matrix, but that just does what alt-dragging is supposed to normally do -- make a copy. I tried everything, searched the menus, but somehow overlooked this. Thanks!!
