Making a picture collage?

If there is an easy way to do this, then I haven't found it yet.

I am trying to put 7 photographs in a row to spell out a name. It has to end up being a photograph that can be put on a blog. Can anyone tell me an easy way to do this? Am I missing something?

I only have iphoto and various free internet sites.

Im not sure if it can be done with what you have..... gimp might be a solution but i dont use it. I tried to send you a private message but your user settings doesnt allow it.

I used Illustrator & Photoshop for this. In a nut shell I basically made the text in illustrator (you can do the same in photoshop), brought it over to photoshop where my pictures where, selected each letter and masked the picture inside.

You can send me a private message if you like or someone else might be able to help with some free programs and how to do it.
