I want to make a formal written complaint to Apple in the UK.

I couldn't find any link on their website, although usually every company that sells things has some sort of formal procedure, so I sent my complaint here: <contactus.uk@euro.apple.com>

The replay, after some days, was:" Our Customer Relations Team can assist and take your feedback about your experience when using our Support Teams / Retail Stores.
To contact either the Apple Care Team / Customer Relations Team please contact the following:

Tel: UK (44) 0870 876 0753 "

In the UK an 0870 number has a HUGE premium rate markup. It can be several pounds a minute, you don't know until you get the bill.
Plus I don't want an argument on the phone, I want it in writing.

Does anyone have an address for UK residents to make formal complaints to?

Thanks.

I don't know an alternative address I'm afraid, but there are alternative phone numbers on the website saynoto0870.com. For 0870 876 0753 they give alternatives:

020 8218 1000 Switchboard - ask for Customer services (say you can't dial 0870 & they'll put you through)
0800 0399901 Enter extension 88802 to speak to a representative

Very useful site, especially for me since I don't have a landline and 'premium rate' (inc 0870 numbers) are barred on my mobile. If it wasn't for the alternatives listed on the site, I just wouldn't be able to call my electricity company, my local council, my out-of-hours doctors service ... it's rubbish
