Making "automation" actually automatic

Any way of making the "automation" scripts actually execute automatically instead of popping up as a notification which you then need to press? Have looked into the settings and no such option. How silly an oversight if it proves impossible.

There’s a switch on the edit automation page - ‘ask before running’ - just flick that switch off.
