I tried in vain last week to get some free wifi while walking around the city. I connected to a few networks but then couldn't get anywhere when trying to browse. No big deal. But now the phone keeps swithcing to wifi when I pass all these buildings and it's just annoying. I doubt there's much of a negative to it happening but I'd just like to wipe the phone's memory of all these networks, or even all networks totally and just set it up for my home network again.

Does anyone know how?

Goto: Settings -> Wifi -> Under "Choose a network" click on the '>' next to the network you want to forget -> Click on "Forget this Network".

You will have to be in range of the network you want to forget, but it will do it. I just wish mine would remember the wifi at my corporate office. Remembers the 20+ clinics I have been to, but won't remember the corp's wifi. And they are setup the same (same SSID Same hardware, same passcode, different MAC's I believe though).

Anyway, that should fix your problem.
