making my headunit bluetooth compatible with ipad?

I have a headunit in my car im looking to make it Bluetooth compatible. my unit is the
Sony CDX-GT640UI

i have a usb port and the AUX port on unit.

it has a usb port in the front so im thinking is it possible to find some usb dongle or device that i can attach to give my unit stereo BTsupport so ican wirelessly attach my ipod touch/ipad/cell etc.. to play music over my stereo?

I dont know much about cars and car audio so hoping its possible.

I don't know for sure on this one, but odds are you'll need to jailbreak your iPad, and fool around with stuff in BTStack to get it to pair.

I know this one works withbthe iPhone 3GS but needs to be paired every time. The iPad should be able to pair
