Over the hills and far away...
So I was looking on eBay today and found that you can get a 12" powerbook for pretty cheap, especially if there is a problem with the HDD, which got me thinking...

Perhaps could get one of these and then drop a SSD maybe 32 or 64 gigs into it, and use it as a portable computer used solely for typing notes/papers (in class/library) and for internet browsing when away from home

So my question is, does anyone know of any specific problem I would run into trying to get a SSD into a PB G4 12"?

Thanks

If you're willing to shell out $500 (32gb) or $900-1000 (64gb) for a hardrive - go for it.

The battery in a PB isn't exactly amazing, even with a SSD it won't top some existing HDD based ultraportables

dont know what you mean by that, i get 3-4 hours on my new powerbook g3's battery, however they powerbook is a pain in the butt to open up, and i dont think it has an SATA harddrive dose it?
