Hi,

My wife and I have been sharing the same ID which has been fine, except now we want to use the Find My Friends app which requires that you assign your ID to one specific device. We share it because we share bought apps and want to continue that luxury.

Is there any solution/alternative approach to this kind of issue?

You really need to share your iTunes Applid ONLY for iTunes purchases but have personal IDs for everything else.

On your iPhone and iPad you put the shared iTunes ID under Settings / Store.

ah yes, but it appears that whatever id bought the app gets tethered to that email address. Now, my wife can never find my iPhone, but my kid can since his id bought the app, not mine.

Hmm...anyone have a solution?

Thanks.

I'm not sure if that will work since you get the Find My Friends from the app store?
