Til i updated to 3.1.2 i used to be able to go to myxer.com and make ringtones and it would send it to my iTunes in the ringtone section and all was good. Now , it still does that but now it wont sync to my phone because it says it cant find the original file. Dont know why it needs that since i dont for music files. Cant drag the file from ringtones to my desktop like i can with just a song.

Also cant make ringtones in iTunes anymore unless the song was bought from iTunes store.

Any sollutions for this that you have come across?

Off Topic : did you get WB settings I posted for you ?

I've always used Garageband to make ringtones. If you have iLife, you just drag the music file into Garageband and use the loop selector in the timeline above the part of the song you want for the ringtone. Then Share>Send Ringtone to iTunes. But you can only use DRM free music if you wanna do it that way.

Dont have a Mac

Got the link but it says windows cant open the file.

It's a .deb file, you SSH it into your phone, then use mobile terminal to install it and voila, you have WB settings.

Upload the .deb file to /var/root/.

Open Mobile Terminal

Type "su" and hit return when you first launch terminal then it will ask for a password
type "alpine" then tap return

type cd ~ ; dpkg -i «filename.deb», where you have to replace «filename.deb» with the file name of the uploaded file (without the guillemets).

After it installs, respring, also you can go back into the phone and delete the .deb file.

Ill give it atry but stil not sure how to put it in using SSH if i cant open the file. All i have is a link to a file.

Why is there no option to delete in this forum?

That is a direct link to the file. With a PC you right click on the link and select save target as

Should work fine. Don't manipulate the file at all, just drop it into iphone as I explained.

I dont know. Maybe im just stupid because i dont see how to upload it into var/root from that link. I right click it and click save link as but where do i put it? It doesnt give me the option to put it in my SSH session.
Im not very familiar at all with SSH and i dont want to mess anything up. I have only used SSH once to delete something, not add anything.

Use Audacity. Export as AAC. Rename file to .m4r. Make sure the tones aren't any longer than 40 seconds. Sync iPhone.
