I have a one year old Macbook Pro. I recently installed boot camp and have been doing 3D renderings. Seems like it was since then my computer started to make strange "whirring" noises. Now, it's gotten to be constant when resting on a flat surface...if i tip it back or forward, the noise stops.

Any idea what this could be?

Where is the noise coming from? There have been LCD and processor noise issues with MBP's. Sometimes moving the display back and forth fixes the display noise, but that's usually when brightness is below full brightness or higher than no brightness.

Maybe the fan?

Have you tried just lifting horizontal the laptop horizontally? Does the sound subside after the rendering has finished/stopped? What OS / OSes are you in when you hear this sound?
