Bear with me, hopefully you'll get what I mean.....

The shiny chamfered edge on the iPad is a PITA... it gets scratched and nicked too easily. I much prefer the brushed or dull look of the 9.7 iPad's chamfer.

Has anyone used something like a scotch pad to try and dull the chamfered edge to be more of a brushed effect like the 9.7 iPad.

Yeah, probably a crazy idea, but just wondered. The sooner they get rid of the chamfer in a new design, the better in my view.

And no prizes for the "give it a go and let us know" responses.....

Lol, the sandblasted finish on the 9.7 iPad and iPhone SE's chamfered edge is actually cheaper to manufacture. But yeah, I do prefer it over the shiny finish on more expensive models. :p

Alas, given I paid almost $1500 for my iPad after tax and AppleCare, I'd rather live with nicks and scratches on the chamfered edge rather than risk accidentally damaging the display.
