It's a little lopsided don't you think?

I know that MacRumors post news as it comes but these are troubling signs for the Mac side of things.

I won't be surprised if the MacRumors name will change to iPhoneRumors in no time. ;)

Anyway, please don't bash me...I'm just lonely hugging my 2015 MBP.

In any case, the filings for new Macs is a light at the end of the tunnel. :)

The lopsidedness is coming from Apple, not MacRumors. Because as much as I'd like to see Apple treat Mac and iOS as equal importance - and they are certainly capable of doing so - it's not happening.

iOS and iOS devices, iPhones specifically, benefit from being the most profitable / widely used products. As such, Apple is giving them far more attention. And MacRumors simply reports on what Apple is doing.

Edit: And this unequal importance strategy has been happening for years now. Hence we still have a Mac mini from 2014 being sold as a current model...

Apple’s success is based LARGELY on the iPhone. Apple wouldn’t be as profitable nor as reputable if it wasn’t for the iPhone. I’m sure some leaks are done purposefully to guage consumer interest etc. This could be the case.

There's a lot more to report on with iOS/iPhone because there are more people looking at those articles. This site is a business and needs those clicks.

Well, what about now?

Isn't there enough Mac news?

Face it, it's normal, Apple doesnt update the Macs for updating, so there are less rumors, news, etc...

On the other side, MacRumors fails to cover macOS and iOS like MacStories covers the iPad.
