The air got a tracking number last night and was ready for shipping. This is earlier than the estimated ship date of 2-25-08. It shipped out of shanghai this morning at 6:00 am(it changed to in transit). Now I checked the tracking number and it shows the estimated delivery date as the 25th. I know they don't do weekends but I was hoping to have it Monday at the latest Tuesday. :( I'm overly anxious. I wish there was a way to upgrade to next day or add weekend delivery. Anybody order there's and get it earlier than the fedex estimated delivery date?

I'd just wait, it's not going to make a difference if you get it a day sooner. I know the feeling if wanting it, but it doesn't help to think about it ;)

I knew I couldn't wait for shipping even though I could have saved some money on taxes. After getting word that the Air would be in stores the day after the first orders shipped, I just went in and guess I got lucky. It does suck for those who don't have an Apple store, Fry's, or Best Buy near by to pick one up. The supply is definitely limited in some stores so I guess it can be even more frustrating to play the roulette with their inventory when your assured one mail order. As for me, I was just lucky.

I thought you payed taxes anyway for online purchases if there is a brick and mortar store in your state.

Not sure if you're in the US, but Monday is President's day...not sure if there is delivery service or that packages will move at all.

I believe it's only USPS that takes that day off.

Awesome. It left anchorage a few hours ago(which I believe means it already got through customs.) if it makes it here in time, do they deliver Saturdays? Seeing how if they do it can prob make it here tomarrow.

All of my orders from Apple usually arrive at least a day, mostly two, early than FedEx says. They deliver everyday but Sunday. I doubt President's Day. This year it's not really worth celebrating...
